Summary Naga Stotra is a wonderful prayer used to diminish the Kaal Sarp Dosha present in the natal chart of a native. According to legend, they are the children of the sage Kashyapa and Kadru. These are supernatural beings capable of providing boons and treasures to the seekers.


Naga Stotra is a remarkable prayer used to lessen the Kaal Sarp Dosha present in the natal chart of a native. The Stotra is an exceptional prayer to the serpents of the Naga Loka. It is assumed that chanting this prayer benefits the seeker to get rid of the nuisances forced by Kaal Sarpa dosha.

The Nagas are a divine, or semi-divine, race of half-human, half-serpent beings that live in the Patala. According to the parable, they are the offspring of the sage Kashyapa and Kadru. These are supernatural beings qualified of providing boons and jewels to the seekers.

The nagas are described as the powerful, splendid, wonderful, and proud semi-divine race that can presume their physical form either as human, a partial human-serpent, or as a whole serpent. Their territory is in the enchanted underworld, the underground realm filled with gems, gold, and other earthly treasures called Naga-Loka or Patala-Loka.

Naga Stotram Meaning
॥नाग स्तोत्रम्॥

ब्रह्म लोके च ये सर्पाः शेषनागाः पुरोगमाः।

नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥१॥

Brahma Loke Cha Ye Sarpah Sheshanagah Purogamah।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥1॥

Even in the land of Brahma these serpents are leading Adhi sesha
I salute them, let them be pleased and happy with me for all times.

विष्णु लोके च ये सर्पाः वासुकि प्रमुखाश्चये।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥२॥

Vishnu Loke Cha Ye Sarpah Vasuki Pramukhashchaye।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥2॥

Even in land of Vishnu these serpents are dominant over Vasuki,
I salute them, let them be pleased and happy with me for all times.

रुद्र लोके च ये सर्पाः तक्षकः प्रमुखास्तथा।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥३॥

Rudra Loke Cha Ye Sarpah Takshakah Pramukhakhastatha।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥3॥

Even in the land of Rudra, these serpents  dominate the serpent THakshaka,
I salute them, let them be pleased and happy with me for all times.

खाण्डवस्य तथा दाहे स्वर्गन्च ये च समाश्रिताः।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥४॥

Khandavasya Tatha Dahe Swargancha Ye Cha Samashritah।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥4॥

When the Khandava forest was being burnt, they were in heaven,
I salute them,  let them be pleased and happy with me for all times.

सर्प सत्रे च ये सर्पाः अस्थिकेनाभि रक्षिताः।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥५॥

Sarpa Satre Cha Ye Sarpah Asthikenabhi Rakshitah।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥5॥

In the yaga of serpents, they were saved by Godly people,
I salute them,  let them be pleased and happy with me for all times.

प्रलये चैव ये सर्पाः कार्कोट प्रमुखाश्चये।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥६॥

Pralaye Chaiva Ye Sarpah Karkota Pramukhashchaye।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥6॥

Even at the time of deluge these serpents was dominant over Karkotaka,
I salute them,  let them be pleased and happy with me for all times.

धर्म लोके च ये सर्पाः वैतरण्यां समाश्रिताः।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥७॥

Dharma Loke Cha Ye Sarpah Vaitaranyam Samashritah।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥7॥

Even in the land of Yama, these serpents assembled near the river of death,
I salute them, let them be pleased and happy with me for all times.

ये सर्पाः पर्वत येषु धारि सन्धिषु संस्थिताः।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥८॥

Ye Sarpah Parvata Yeshu Dhari Sandhishu Sansthita।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥8॥

These serpents are found on mountains and junctions of roads,
I salute them,  let them be pleased and happy with me for all times.

ग्रामे वा यदि वारण्ये ये सर्पाः प्रचरन्ति च।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥९॥

Grame Va Yadi Varanye Ye Sarpah Pracharanti Cha।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥9॥

These serpents move about in villages as well as forests,
I salute them, let them be pleased and happy with me for all times.

पृथिव्याम् चैव ये सर्पाः ये सर्पाः बिल संस्थिताः।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥१०॥

Prithivyam Chaiva Ye Sarpah Ye Sarpah Bila Sansthita।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥10॥

These serpents are found on earth as well as in caves,
I salute them and let them be pleased and happy with me at all times.

रसातले च ये सर्पाः अनन्तादि महाबलाः।
नमोऽस्तु तेभ्यः सुप्रीताः प्रसन्नाः सन्तु मे सदा॥११॥

Rasatale Cha Ye Sarpah Anantadi Mahabalah।
Namoastu Tebhyah Supritah Prasannah Santu Me Sada॥11॥

In the lower words, these serpents are stronger than Anantha,
I salute them and let them be pleased and happy with me at all times.
