श्रीकृष्णकृत संकटनाशन दुर्गास्त्रोत्र!!

श्रीकृष्ण उवाच-

त्वमेव सर्वजननी मूलप्रकृतिरीश्वरी ।

त्वमेवाद्या सृष्टिविधौ स्वेच्छया त्रिगुणात्मिका ।।

कार्यार्थे सगुणा त्वं च वस्तुतो निर्गुणा स्वयम् ।

परब्रह्मस्वरूपा त्वं सत्या नित्या सनातनी ।।

Tvam eva sarvajani mulaprakritirishwari.
Tvam evadya srishtividau svechchhaya trigonatmika.
Karyarthe saguna tvam cha vastuto nirguna svayam.
Parabrahmasvarupa tvam satya nitya sanatani.

Meaning: You alone are the Mother of all beings, the primal Nature, the Supreme Goddess.
You alone are the First Cause, who creates the universe through Your own free will, assuming the three qualities (sattva, rajas, tamas).
For the sake of creation, You appear with qualities, yet in truth, You are beyond all qualities.
You are a form of the Supreme Brahman - eternal, true and everlasting.

तेजःस्वरूपा परमा भक्तानुग्रविग्रहा ।

सर्वस्वरूपा सर्वेशा सर्वाधारा परात्परा ।।

सर्वबीजस्वरूपा च सर्वपूज्या निराश्रया ।

सर्वज्ञा सर्वतोभद्रा सर्वमंगलमंगला ।।

Tejassvarupa parama bhaktanugravigraha.
Sarvasvarupa sarvesha saradhara paratpara.
Sarvabejasvarupa cha sarvapujya nirasraya.
Sarvagya sarvato bhadra sarvamangalamangala.

Meaning: You are the embodiment of divine radiance, the supreme one who grants grace to devotees.
You are the essence of everything, the ruler of all, the support of all, beyond the highest.
You are the seed of all beings, worthy of worship by all, and you depend on nothing.
You are all-knowing, auspicious from all sides, and the most auspicious of all that is auspicious.

सर्वबुद्धिस्वरूपा च सर्वशक्तिस्वरूपिणी ।

सर्वज्ञानप्रदा देवी सर्वज्ञा सर्वभाविनी ।।

त्वं स्वाहा देवदाने च पितृदाने स्वधा स्वयम् ।

दक्षिणा सर्वदाने च सर्वशक्तिस्वरूपिणी ।।

Sarvabuddhisvarupa cha sarvashaktisvarupini.
Sarvajnaprada devi sarvagya sarvabhavini.
Tvam swaha devadane cha pitridane swadha svayam.
Dakshina sarvadane cha sarvashaktisvarupini.

Meaning: You are the embodiment of all intelligence and all power.
O Devi, you grant all knowledge and are the knower of everything. You exist in all forms.
You are the sacred Swaha used in offerings to gods, and Swadha used in offerings to ancestors.
You are Dakshina (ritual offering) and the form of every divine power.

निद्रा त्वं च दया त्वं च तृष्णा त्वं चात्मनः प्रिया ।

क्षुत्क्षान्तिः शान्तिरीशा च कान्तिः सृष्टिश्च शाश्वती ।।

श्रद्धा पुष्टिश्च तन्द्रा च लज्जा शोभा दया तथा ।

सतां सम्पत्स्वरूपा च विपत्तिरसतामिह ।।

Nidra tvam cha daya tvam cha trishna tvam chaatmanah priya.
Kshutkshantih shantirisha cha kaantih srishtischha shashvatee.
Shraddha pushtischha tandra cha lajjha shobha daya tatha.
Sataan sampatsvarupa cha vipattirasataamiha.

Meaning: You are sleep, compassion and desire, the beloved of all beings.
You are hunger, satisfaction, peace, brilliance and eternal creation.
You are faith, nourishment, laziness, modesty, beauty and kindness.
You are prosperity for the righteous and misfortune for the unrighteous.

प्रीतिरूपा पुण्यवतां पापिनां कलहाङ्करा ।

शश्वत्कर्ममयी शक्तिः सर्वदा सर्वजीविनाम् ।।

देवेभ्यः स्वपदो दात्री धातुर्धात्री कृपामयी ।

हिताय सर्वदेवानां सर्वासुरविनाशिनी ।।

Preetirupa punyavataan papinaam kalahankaraa.
Shashvatkarmamayi shaktih sarvada sarvajeewinaam.
Devebhyah swapado daatree dhaaturdhaatree kripaamayi.
Hitaaya sarvadevaanaam sarvaasuravinaashinee.

Meaning: You are loved by the virtuous and the cause of quarrels for sinners.
You are the eternal force present in the actions of all living beings.
You bestow your divine realm upon gods, nurture the elements and are full of compassion.
You bring welfare to all gods and destroy all asuras.

योगनिद्रा योगरूपा योगदात्री च योगिनाम् ।

सिद्धिस्वरूपा सिद्धानां सिद्धिदा सिद्धयोगिनी।।

ब्रह्माणी माहेश्वरी च विष्णुमाया च वैष्णवी ।

भद्रदा भद्रकाली च सर्वलोकभयंकरी ।।

Yoganidraa yogarupa yogadaatree cha yoginaam.
Siddhisvarupa siddhaanam siddhidaa siddhyogini.
Brahmaani maaheshwaree cha vishnumaayaa cha vaishnavee.
Bhadrada bhadrakaalee cha sarvalokabhayankaree.

Meaning: You are yogic sleep, the form of yoga and the giver of yoga to yogis.
You are perfection itself, the giver of supernatural powers and the goddess of perfected beings.
You are Brahmani, Maheshwari, Vishnumaya and Vaishnavi.
You are Bhadrada, Bhadrakali and the one who terrifies all worlds’ enemies.

ग्रामे ग्रामे ग्रामदेवी गृहदेवी गृहे गृहे ।

सतां कीर्तिः प्रतिष्ठा च निन्दा त्वमसतां सदा ।।

महायुद्धे महामारी दुष्टसंहाररूपिणी ।

रक्षास्वरूपा शिष्टानां मातेव हितकारिणी ।।

Graame graame graamadevi gruhe gruhe.
Sataan keertih pratishthaa cha nindaa tvamasataam sadaa.
Mahayuddhe mahaamaaree dushtasankhaararupini.
Rakshasvarupa shishtaanam maateva hitakaarini.

Meaning: You are the village goddess in every village and the household goddess in every home.
You are the fame and honour of the righteous and the criticism of the wicked.
You are destruction in great wars and epidemics that remove evil.
You protect righteous people like a mother caring for her children.

वन्द्या पूज्या स्तुता त्वं च ब्रह्मादीनां च सर्वदा ।

ब्राह्मण्यरूपा विप्राणां तपस्या च तपस्विनाम् ।।

विद्या विद्यावतां त्वं च बुद्धिर्बुद्धिमतां सताम् ।

मेधा स्मृतिस्वरूपा च प्रतिभा प्रतिभावताम् ।।

Vandyapoojya stutaa tvam cha brahmadeenaam cha sarvadaa.
Brahmanyaroopaa vipraanaam tapasyaa cha tapaswinaam.
Vidyaa vidyavaataan tvam cha buddhirbuddhimataam sataam.
Medhaa smritisvarupaa cha pratibhaa pratibhaavataam.

Meaning: You are always worthy of worship and praise by Brahma and all gods.
You are the protector of Brahmins, the strength of ascetics, and the austerity of the disciplined.
You are knowledge for the learned, wisdom to the wise, and intelligence for the intelligent.
You are memory, understanding, and creativity.

राज्ञां प्रतापरूपा च विशां वाणिज्यरूपिणी ।

सृष्टौ सृष्टिस्वरूपा त्वं रक्षारूपा च पालने ।।

तथान्ते त्वं महामारी विश्वस्य विश्वपूजिते।

कालरात्रिर्महारात्रिर्मोहरात्रिश्च मोहिनी।।

Rajnaam prataaparupaa ca vishhaam vaanijyarupini.
Srishtau srishtisvarupaa tvam rakshaarupaa ca paalane.
Tathaante tvam mahaamaari vishvasyaa vishvapuujite.
Kaalaraatrir mahaaraatrir mohaaraatrishca mohini.  

Meaning: You are the form of power of the kings and the form of commerce for the world.
You are the creator in creation, the form of protection in safeguarding the world.
At the end, you are the great calamity, worshiped by the entire universe.
You are the night of time, the great night and the night of illusion, O enchanting one.

दुरत्यया मे माया त्वं यया संमोहितं जगत्।

यया मुग्धो हि विद्वांश्च मोक्षमार्गं न पश्यति।।

इत्यात्मना कृतं स्तोत्रं दुर्गाया दुर्गनाशनम् ।

पूजाकाले पठेद्यो हि सिद्धिर्भवति वाञ्छिता ।।

Duratyayaa me maayaa tvam yayaa sammohitam jagat.
Yayaa mugdho hi vidvaamshca mokshamaargam na pashyati.
Ityaatmanaa krtam stotram durgaayaa durganaashanam.
Puujaakaale pathedyo hi siddhirbhavati vaanchitaa.

Meaning: My Maya (illusion) is hard to overcome, by which the world is deluded.
By this illusion, even the wise are bewildered and cannot see the path to liberation.
This hymn, composed with a pure heart, is the destroyer of all difficulties, dedicated to Durga.
Anyone who recites this hymn during worship will surely attain their desired success.

Phalashruti (Benefits of Reciting This Hymn)

~फलश्रुति : ~

इस प्रकार परमात्मा श्रीकृष्ण द्वारा किये गए दुर्गा के दुर्गम संकटनाशन स्तोत्र का जो पूजाकाल में पाठ करता है, उसे मनोवाञ्छित सिद्धि प्राप्त होती है।

Whoever recites this hymn, composed by Shri Krishna, during worship, will receive every desired accomplishment. A woman who is barren, crow-barren, dead calf, and unfortunate, also hears this stotra for a year and surely gets an excellent son.

जो नारी वन्ध्या, काकवन्ध्या, मृतवत्सा तथा दुर्भगा है, वह भी एक वर्ष तक इस स्तोत्र का श्रवण करके निश्चय ही उत्तम पुत्र प्राप्त कर लेती है।

For women: A barren woman, who has miscarriages, or is without good fortune, by listening to this stotra for one year, surely gains blessed children.

जो पुरुष अत्यन्त घोर कारागार के भीतर दृढ बन्धन में बँधा हुआ है, वह एक ही मास तक इस स्तोत्र को सुन ले तो अवश्य ही बन्धन से मुक्त हो जाता है। जो मनुष्य राजयक्ष्मा, गलित कोढ, महाभयंकर शूल और महान् ज्वर से ग्रस्त है, वह एक वर्ष तक इस स्तोत्र का श्रवण कर ले तो शीघ्र ही रोग से छुटकारा पा जाता है।

For prisoners: A man imprisoned in tight bondage, if he listens to this stotra for even one month, he becomes free.

For the sick: A person suffering from tuberculosis, severe skin disease, terrible pain or chronic fever, by listening to this stotra for one year, becomes free from illness.

पुत्र, प्रजा और पत्‍‌नी के साथ भेद (कलह आदि) होने पर यदि एक मास तक इस स्तोत्र को सुने तो इस संकट से मुक्ति प्राप्त होती है, इसमें संशय नहीं है।

For family conflicts: One who has conflicts with children, family or spouse, by listening for one month, becomes free from such troubles.

राजद्वार, श्मशान, विशाल वन तथा रणक्षेत्र में और हिंसक जन्तु के समीप भी इस स्तोत्र के पाठ और श्रवण से मनुष्य संकट से मुक्त हो जाता है।

For dangers and fearful places: At the king’s gate, in cremation grounds, deep forests, battlefields, or near dangerous animals, reciting or listening to this stotra protects a person from all troubles.

यदि घर में आग लगी हो, मनुष्य दावानल से घिर गया हो अथवा डाकुओं की सेना में फँस गया हो तो इस स्तोत्र के श्रवण मात्र से वह उस संकट से पार हो जाता है, इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है।

For fire, forest fire, or attack from robbers: even in such extreme danger, listening to the stotra alone provides protection.

जो महादरिद्र और मूर्ख है, वह भी एक वर्ष तक इस स्तोत्र को पढे तो निस्संदेह विद्वान और धनवान् हो जाता है।

For poverty and ignorance: A very poor or foolish person, by reading this stotra for one year, becomes wise and prosperous.
