Kali Ashtothara Shatnaam Stotra is a stotra depicting the hundreds of divine names of Mahavidya Kali. Kali is the fearful and ferocious form of the mother goddess. Kali is represented with perhaps the fiercest features amongst all the world’s deities. She has four arms, with a sword in one hand and the head of a demon in another. The other two hands bless her worshippers. Kali is the Goddess of time and change.
The Goddess Kali is the guardian, also known as Kalika. The protectors, the Mother, Kali is Dharma and eternal time. Kali shines with the brilliance of a million black fires of dissolution and her body is bathed in the sacred ash. Kali is revered as Bhavtirine i.e the redeemer of the universe. Kali is the Goddess of time and change. Kali is Adi Mahavidya, the primary Mahavidya. She is the first and the foremost among the Mahavidyas.
Even before the Mahavidya cult came into being, she was a major goddess with a large following of devotees immersed in her mythologies, hymns and songs. She is not only the first but the most important of the Mahavidyas. It is said, the Mahavidya tradition is centered on Kali and her attributes. Kali is the epitome of the Mahavidyas.
Kali is Black goddess, Shamshana Kali, Mahakali, Nitya Kali, Shyama Kali, Bhadra Kali, Ugra Chandi, Siddeshwari and Kalratri.
These 108 names of Mahavidya Mahakali simply help the sadhak to get the divine grace of Goddess Mahakali. The sadhna of Mahakali should preferably be done in the temple or in an alone place or in a separate room.

काली अष्टोत्तरशतनाम स्तोत्रम्
भैरवोवाच
शतनाम प्रवक्ष्यामि कालिकाय वरानने ।
यस्य प्रपठनाद्वाग्मी सर्वत्र विजयी भवेत् ॥
अथ स्तोत्रम्
काली कपालिनी कान्ता कामदा कामसुन्दरी ।
कालारात्रिः कालिका च कालभैरव पूजिता ॥
क्रुरुकुल्ला कामिनी च कमनीय स्वभाविनी ।
कुलीना कुलकत्रीं च कुलवर्त्म प्रकाशिनी ॥
कस्तूरिरसनीला च काम्या कामस्वरूपिणी ।
ककारवर्णनिलया कामधेनुः करालिका ॥
कुलकान्ता करालस्या कामार्त्ता च कलावती ।
कृशोदरी च कामाख्या कौमारी कुलपालिनी ॥
कुलजा कुलमन्या च कलहा कुलपूजिता ।
कामेश्वरी कामकान्ता कुञ्जरेश्वरगामिनी ॥

कङिकनी काकिनी क्रीडा कुत्सिता कलहप्रिया ॥
कुण्डगोलोद्भवप्राणा कौशिकी कीर्तिवर्द्धिनी,
कुम्भस्तनी कलाक्षा च काव्या कोकनदप्रिया ।
कान्तारवासि कान्तिश्च कठिना कृष्णवल्लभा ॥
फलश्रुति
इति ते कथितम् देवि गुह्याद् गुह्यतरम् परम् ।
प्रपठेद्य इदम् नित्यम् कालीनाम शताष्टकम् ॥
त्रिषु लोकेषु देवेशि तस्यासाध्यम् न विद्यते ।
प्रातः काले च मध्याह्ने सायाह्ने च सदा निशि ॥
यः पठेत्परया भक्त्या कालीनाम शताष्टकम् ।
कालिका तस्य गेहे च संस्थानम् कुरुते सदा ॥
शून्यागारे श्मशाने वा प्रान्तरे जलमध्यतः ।
वह्निमध्ये च संग्रामे तथा प्राणस्य संशये ॥
शताष्टकम् जपेन्मंत्री लभते क्षेममुत्तमम्,
कालीं संस्थाप्य विधिवत्श्रुत्वा नामशताष्टकैः ।
साधकः सिद्धिमाप्नोति कालिकायाः प्रसादतः ॥
