पारद शिवलिंग

पारद शंभुबीज है यानी पारद की उत्पत्ति महादेव के शरीर से उत्पन्न पदार्थ शुक्र से मानी गई है। इसलिए शास्त्रों में पारद को साक्षात शिव का रूप माना गया है और पारद लिंग का सबसे ज्यादा महत्त्व बताकर उसे दिव्य बताया गया है।

पारद शब्द में प-विष्णु, अ-अकार, र-शिव और द-ब्रह्मा का प्रतीक है। पारद एक विशिष्ठ तरल अवस्था में धातु और स्वयं सिद्ध पदार्थ है। विशिष्ठ शास्त्रोक्त व तंत्रोक्त गोपनीय विधियों से व अनेक जड़ी-बूटियों की सहायता से दिव्य पारद शिवलिंग का निर्माण किया जाता है।

शास्त्रों के अनुसार, रावण रससिद्ध योगी था। पारद शिवलिंग की पूजा से शिव को प्रसन्न कर अनेक दिव्य शक्तियों को प्राप्त किया। वाणासुर ने भी पारद शिवलिंग की पूजाकर शिव से मनोवांछित वर प्राप्त किया।

शिवमहापुराण में शिवजी का कथन है कि करोड़ों शिवलिंगों के पूजन से जो फल प्राप्त होता है, उससे भी करोड़ गुना अधिक फल पारद शिवलिंग की पूजा और उसके दर्शन मात्र से ही प्राप्त हो जाता है।

अनेकों जघन्य अपराध पारद शिवलिंग के दर्शन मात्र से दूर हो जाते हैं, इसके स्पर्श मात्र से मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है। यह सभी तरह के लौकिक तथा पारलौकिक सुख देने वाला है।

जो मनुष्य पारद शिवलिंग की भक्ति पूर्वक पूजा-अभिषेक तथा दर्शन करता है, उसे तीनों लोकों में स्थित समस्त शिवलिंगों के पूजन का फल मिलता है एवं सौ अश्वमेघ यज्ञ करने के बराबर का फल प्राप्त होता है।

इस शिवलिंग का जहां पूजन होता है, वहां साक्षात शंकर का वास होता है। अन्य प्रकार के शिवलिंग लिंग महापुराण के अनुसार, रत्न निर्मित लिंग श्री (लक्ष्मी) प्रदान करने वाला, पाषाण निर्मित लिंग समस्त सिद्धियों को देने वाला, धातु निर्मित लिंग धन-संपत्ति देने वाला तथा काष्ठ निर्मित शिवलिंग भोग-सिद्धि प्रदान करने वाला है।

इसी प्रकार शुद्ध मिट्टी से बना हुआ (पार्थिव) शिवलिंग सभी सिद्धियों की प्राप्ति कराने वाला माना गया है। शिवलिंग का अभिषेक करने से व्यक्ति के ग्रह-गोचर अनुकूल होने लगते हैं, घर से नकारात्मक ऊर्जा हमेशा के लिए दूर चली जाती है।

पारद के शिवलिंग को स्वयंभू भोलेनाथ का प्रतिनिधि माना गया है। इस ग्रन्थ में इसे "महालिंग" की उपाधि मिली है और इसमें शिव की समस्त शक्तियों का वास मानते हुए पारद से बने शिवलिंग को सम्पूर्ण शिवालय की भी मान्यता मिली है ।

ऐसे शिवलिंग को समस्त शिवलिंगों में सर्वोच्च स्थान मिला हुआ है और इसका यथाविधि पूजन करने से मानसिक, शारीरिक, तामसिक या अन्य कई विकृतियां स्वतः ही समाप्त हो जाती हैं।
