- Start from Janamashtmi or any auspicious day facing north.
- Wear yellow clothes for this purpose.
- Lit an agarbatti or lamp before the picture of Lord Krishna.
- Chant 11 rosary of this mantra in the morning and 11 rosaries at night.
- Do this mantra chant for one day only.
- Afterward, chant 11 times of this mantra daily in the morning and at night before sleeping.
- This is a very effective & tested mantra.

द्वादशाक्षर- 'श्री माधव'-नाम-साधना
नाम-माहात्म्य-'माधव' अर्थात् लक्ष्मी-पति (मा = लक्ष्मी, धव पति)। संस्कृत वाङ्मय 'मा' शब्द के अनेक अर्थ हैं। 'माङ्' मानने से 'मा' का अर्थ है-मान, ज्ञान। 'मा'- शब्द का प्र निषेधात्मक रूप में भी होता है। 'माधव' शब्द में आगत 'मा' को यदि निषेधात्मक रूप में ग्रहण करें इसका अर्थ होता है-'जो सबके पति-जगत्पति हैं, सर्वज्ञ हैं, सर्वेश्वर हैं।'
विनियोग-
ॐ अस्य श्रीमाधव-द्वादशाक्षर-मन्त्रस्य श्रीनारद ऋषिः। विराट् छन्दः। श्रीमा देवता। मम दीर्घायु-शरीरारोग्य-लक्ष्मी-फल-प्राप्त्यर्थे जपे विनियोगः।
ऋष्यादि-न्यास-
शिरसि श्रीनारद-ऋषये नमः। मुखे विराट्-छन्दसे नमः । हृदये श्रीमाधव देवतायै नमः। मम दीर्घायु-शरीरारोग्य-लक्ष्मी-फल-प्राप्त्यर्थे जपे विनियोगाय नमः अञ्जलौ।
कर-न्यास-
ॐ रमां अंगुष्ठाभ्यां नमः । ॐ बिन्दु तर्जनीभ्यां स्वाहा। ॐ माधवाय मध्यमा वषट् । ॐ नमो अनामिकाभ्यां हुम् । ॐ नमः करतल-कर-पृष्ठाभ्यां फट्।
षडङ्ग-न्यास-
ॐ रमां हृदयाय नमः। ॐ बिन्दु शिरसे स्वाहा। ॐ माधवाय शिखायै वषट्। ॐ नमो कवचाय हुम् । ॐ नमः अस्त्राय फट्।
ध्यान-
शङ्ख-चक्र-गदा-पद्म-धरं पीताम्बरावृतम्।
बद्धाञ्जली रमा वामे, वादयन्ती च वल्लकीम् ।।
नारदस्तुम्बुरुर्दक्ष भागे तैरपि संयुतम्। -
प्रसन्न - वदनं ध्यायेद्, वरदान समुद्यतम् ।।
अर्थात् प्रसन्न मुखवाले, वर-दान देने में तत्पर, पीताम्बर धारण किए हुए, शङ्ख-चक्र-गदा-पद्म- धारी उन भगवान् श्रीमाधव का मैं ध्यान करता हूँ, जिनके बाँएँ कर-बद्ध भगवती लक्ष्मी व वीणा-सहित भगवती सरस्वती तथा दाँएँ नारद व तुम्बुरु ऋषि हैं।
मानस-पूजा-
लं पृथिव्यात्मकं गन्धं श्रीमाधवाय समर्पयामि नमः।
हं आकाशात्मकं पुष्पं श्रीमाधवाय समर्पयामि नमः।
यं वाय्वात्मकं धूपं श्रीमाधवाय घ्रापयामि नमः।
रं वह्नयात्मकं दीपं श्रीमाधवाय दर्शयामि नमः।
वं अमृतात्मकं नैवेद्यं श्रीमाधवाय निवेदयामि नमः।
मन्त्र - रमां बिन्दु-माधवाय नमो नमः। (१२ अक्षर)।
सर्वज्ञ, सर्वेश्वर, लक्ष्मी-पति, माया भगवान् श्रीमाधव का मन-ही-मन ध्यान करते हुए 'वर्ण-माला' में इस द्वादशाक्षर मन्त्र का जप विधि के अनुसार करना चाहिए।
होम- यथा-शक्ति 'जप' करने के बाद 'घृत' से 'होम' करे, र्ता शान्त्यादि-गुणों के साथ धन-वैभव की प्राप्ति होती है और अन्त में मुक्ति प्राप्त होती है।
