Tara Yagya is performed to get the boons from Mahavidya Tara. The Mahavidya Tara Yagya Puja is a sacred rite honoring Goddess Tara, the second of the ten Mahavidyas (wisdom goddesses).
Goddess Tara, also known as the "Saviour" or "The Who Guides across the Ocean of Samsara," is revered for both financial prosperity and spiritual liberation.
The most famous legend states that when Lord Shiva drank the Halahala (deadly poison) during the churning of the ocean, his throat turned blue and he fell unconscious. To save him, Goddess Durga appeared as Maa Tara and suckled him. Her maternal milk neutralized the poison and restored him to consciousness.
The puja is known to foster business growth and help gain renown. Maa Tara provides full protection from fears, negative energies, evil spirits, and black magic, and is believed to help prevent premature mortality or accidents.
