यह मंत्र अत्यन्त ही श्रेष्ठ मंत्र है, इस मंत्र के जप को किसी शुक्रवार से प्रारम्भ करना चाहिए।
सबसे पहले किसी चांदी अथवा कांसे की थाली में सवा पाव चावल बिछाकर उस पर नारियल का एक गोला जल से स्नान कराकर रख दें, उस गोले के उपर श्वेत चन्दन से 'श्रीं' बीज लिखकर गोले की पूजा करें।
उस गोले पर सफेद फूल चढ़ावें और दूध से बने प्रसाद का भोग लगावें। इसके बाद वह थाली और उसमें रखे हुए चावल यथावत् रहने दें और नित्य उसके सामने 108 बार निम्नलिखित महालक्ष्मी मंत्र का जप करें।
साधक जब तक दिए गए मंत्र का जप करें, तब तक घी का दीपक अवश्य जलता रहना चाहिए। साधक साधना काल में श्वेत वस्त्र धारण करें, श्वेत आसन पर बैठें, 'कमलगट्टे की माला' से जप करें और एक समय भोजन करें।
यदि साधक अनुष्ठान के रूप में इस का प्रयोग करना चाहें तो निम्न की 1250 मालाएं अर्थात् या मंत्र जाप करें और चालीस दिन में यह अनुष्ठान सम्पन्न कर लें। इसके बाद कमलगट्टे के बीज से 108 आहुतियाँ इसी मंत्र से दें।
यदि साधक अनुष्ठान के रूप में इस की नहीं करें, तो नित्य एक माला फेरें और इस प्रकार एक वर्ष पर्यन्त करें। वर्ष के अन्त में किसी एक ब्राह्मण को भोजन करावें और वह बाली, चावल, गीता आदि उस ब्राह्मण को दान कर दें।
ऐसा करने पर साधक को मनोवांछित लक्ष्मी की प्राप्ति होती है, व्यापार में उत्रति होने लगती है तथा आर्थिक दृष्टि से पूर्णता और प्राप्त होती है।
