Tripur Bhairavi Yagya is performed on the auspicious time of Tripur Bhairavi Jayanti. The Yagya is simply performed to attain the desired wishes soon and to destroy the negative aspects of life.
Tripura conveys three different stages of consciousness i.e. active, dream, and deep sleep. She is in the form of all triads and once these triads are transcended, the Brahman is attained. In other words, once we have her grace, we can realize Shiva's consciousness. Hence She is called Tripurabhairavi.
Bhairavi is a Mahavidya who possesses the effulgence of a thousand rising suns. She has three eyes and wears a jeweled crown with the crest of the moon. Her lotus face is happy and smiling.
She wears a red garment (generally made of silk), her breasts are smeared with blood, and she is adorned with a garland of severed human heads. She has four hands and carries a rosary and a book. She makes gestures of knowledge and that for providing boons with the other two hands.
Goddess Tripura Bhairavi is the fifth among the Dus Mahavidya Goddesses. She is considered an aggressive and fierce form of universal energy.
She is associated with the destruction element of the universe. She destroys evil, bad qualities, and fear. Maa Bhairavi is worshipped for the removal of fear, anxiety, all materialistic comforts, removal of ignorance, troubles, miseries, and sorrows.
