लक्ष्मी मनुष्य जीवन की आवश्यकता है और जीवन का सौन्दर्य भी है। प्रत्येक युग में लक्ष्मी की महत्ता रही है और रहेगी ही। वर्तमान में जब मनुष्य की बाह्य आवश्यकताएँ बढ़ती जा रही है, तब लक्ष्मी की कामना तो होगी ही। लक्ष्मी का दूसरा नाम चंचला भी है। कई बार अत्यधिक प्रयास करने पर भी जब लक्ष्मी घर में टिक नहीं पाती है, धनागम होता है, कहाँ जाता है?
पता ही नहीं चलता है कमाई से अधिक खर्च होता है ऋण भार से व्यक्ति दबता चला जाता है। तब जीवन में आनन्द, मस्ती और उमंग समाप्त हो जाता है। यह सर्वमान्य नियम भी नहीं है कि प्रयत्न करो और लक्ष्मी आती रहे। कई बार प्रयास करने के बाद भी धन का आगमन नहीं हो पाता। जीवन में जूझते रहते हैं, फिर भी घर की दरिद्रता समाप्त नहीं होती।
इस प्रकार घर में अविश्वास, बिखराव बढ़ता चला जाता है और घर के घर टूटते चले जाते हैं, उजड़ते चले जाते हैं। इस स्थिति से उबरने के लिए मनुष्य को साबर साधना ही अधिक कारगर सिद्ध हो सकती है और हुई है। यह वही प्रयोग है जो सबके लिए आवश्यक है।
किसी भी पूर्णमाशी की रात को आधी रात्रि के समय स्नान कर के लाल वस्त्र धारण कर लें। लाल आसन बिछाकर दक्षिण दिशा की ओर मुँह करके बैठें। सामने साफ़ सुथरी धुली हुई जमीन पर कुमकुम से त्रिकोण बना लें | त्रिकोण के एक कोने में ऊपर पाँच "हकीक पत्थर" रखें, नीचे के दूसरे कोने में पाँच "मूँगे के टुकड़े" रखें तथा नीचे के तीसरे कोने में पाँच "रुद्राक्ष के दाने" रख लें।
इसके बाद में त्रिकोण के प्रत्येक कोने पर तेल के दीपक जलाकर रखें। त्रिकोण के मध्य में सरसों की ढेरी बनाकर एक चौमुखा तेल का दीपक जलाकर रखें। इसके बाद हकीक माला से निम्न मन्त्र की पॉँच माला मन्त्र जाप करें |

गजानन वीर बसे मसान
अब दो ऋद्धि का वरदान
जो-जो मांगू सो-सो आन
पाँच लड्डू सिर पर सिन्दूर

सब ऋद्धि हमारे पास पठेओ
शब्द साँचा फुरो मन्त्र ईश्वरो वाचा ॥
मन्त्र जप द्वारा इस साधना को जब आप पूरा कर ले, तब धनागम का कोई न कोई मार्ग सुलभ होगा। मन्त्र जप पूरा होने के बाद रात्रि में साधक वहीं पर सो जाए। प्रातः सभी सामग्री लाल वस्त्र में बाँधकर घर में रख ले।लक्ष्मी की प्राप्ति इससे होती ही है। यह प्रयोग प्रामाणिक और परीक्षित है। यही इसकी विशेषता है। आप करें और सफलता प्राप्त करें, यह आपका सौभाग्य होगा।
